What is IOP?
(Intensive Outpatient Program)
Read below to learn more about IOP and determine if it is a good fit for you!

Our Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) offers a balanced approach to mental health treatment, blending the structure of inpatient care with the flexibility of outpatient support. Our IOP is designed for adults aged 18 to 64 who are navigating challenges such as depression, anxiety, and other mental health issues. This program provides individuals with the opportunity to continue their daily routines while receiving essential support and treatment to manage symptoms and enhance their overall well-being.

At IOP Behavioral Health, participants attend 3-hour group therapy sessions, 3 times a week. These sessions include a combination of group therapy, psychoeducation, and various therapeutic activities, all carefully tailored to address individual needs in a supportive and dynamic environment.

Each group is limited to a maximum of 10 members to ensure a confidential, compassionate, and supportive setting, led by a certified mental health professional. In this environment, individuals find encouragement and understanding, gaining hope and perspective by sharing experiences and witnessing each other's progress.

Group psychotherapy has been a cornerstone of effective mental health treatment for over a century, with extensive research supporting its clinical benefits. Intensive Outpatient Programs (IOPs) utilize this evidence-based approach within a structured treatment model that provides more frequent and consistent care than traditional individual therapy. Engaging in multiple sessions per week allows for deeper skill development, real-time application of coping strategies, and ongoing clinical support while continuing to live at home and maintain daily responsibilities.
The benefits of group-based IOP treatment include a sense of belonging and shared understanding, increased hope and motivation through peer connection, improved social and communication skills, and opportunities for enhanced self-awareness and growth through feedback and reflection; and altruism, as participants both receive and provide support. Together, these elements make IOP an effective and supportive option for individuals who would benefit from increased structure, accountability, and therapeutic support.

Please note, our IOP is focused exclusively on mental health treatment and does not address substance abuse.
After requesting an appointment, you will complete a consultation with a licensed provider to examine if IOP is a good fit for you.
Attend group therapy sessions 3 days a week for 3 hours a day to receive support, community, and high-quality mental health education. Sessions are Monday, Wednesday, Friday 9am-12pm.
After completing your IOP program, you may decide to return to individual therapy to continue your healing journey.
